Kazakhstan coverage on 2026-09-28: 187 issuers with financial statements, 1,847 official filings, standardized to 113 metrics.

- Issuers with extracted financial statements: 187.
- Companies in coverage scope in the canonical universe: 328.
- Official filings processed: 1,847 (874 annual, 973 interim).
- Historical depth: 61 distinct reporting periods, spanning multiple fiscal years.
- Every extracted financial fact is mechanically validated before it is published.
- Standardized metrics: 113. Statement types: income, balance, cashflow, equity, kpi.
- Reporting bases: ifrs, statutory. Consolidated 520 / separate 1,327.
- Source origin: 1,701 filings from the state Financial Statements Depository, 146 from official issuer investor-relations sites. Nothing else is accepted.

## Provenance

- Every fact read directly from a filing carries the exact source page it was read from.
- 1,847 documents carry a SHA-256 content hash.

## Calculated ratios

Extraction takes only what is physically printed in the filing. Ratios are a separate layer on top of those accepted lines, delivered under `statement=ratios`: gross, operating, net and EBITDA margins, effective tax rate, EBITDA, free cash flow and net debt, return on equity and assets, asset turnover, net debt to EBITDA, current ratio, debt to equity, and revenue and net income growth.

- Each ratio carries its `formula`, its `inputs` — every input naming the read statement line it came from by `fact_id` — and a `calculation_version`. The number can be recomputed and traced back to a page of an official filing.
- Inputs must agree on reporting basis, consolidation, currency and period, so an IFRS numerator is never divided by a statutory denominator.
- Nothing is guessed to fill a gap: no return on equity on negative equity, no growth from a negative base, and no ratio at all when an input is missing. Where the issuer printed the line itself, the read value wins.
- Interim filings here are cumulative, so twelve-month figures are exact rather than estimated — last full year minus the same period a year ago plus the current period, marked `period_basis="TTM"`. A half-year is never annualized by multiplication.

## Company universe

328 companies are in coverage scope, rebuilt automatically from both national trading venues and reconciled with the state register. Missing companies are counted gaps, not unknowns.

- Each company holds a permanent internal id that is never reassigned; renames and ticker changes attach to it.
- Every listing and instrument records when it was first and last seen, so delistings and renames are dated events.
- Cross-venue records merge only on evidence — a shared ISIN or an identical legal name.
- Coverage scope follows the financial reporting obligation, so bond-only issuers are covered like equity issuers.

## Sources and rights

All 1,847 processed filings come from official issuer websites or government systems. Documents from any other origin are rejected before extraction rather than cleaned up afterwards.

- Disclosure obligation — why the issuer or platform publishes the information.
- Access permission — whether automated retrieval is permitted and under what limits.
- Reuse permission — whether extracted facts may be distributed. This is a separate, documented decision.
- Trading venues are used only to discover which companies exist, never as a document source.

## Quality and revisions

Every fact is mechanically validated. Corrections create new revisions instead of overwriting history, which is what makes point-in-time as_of queries trustworthy.

- Extracted — a parser produced a candidate value, label, unit, period and source location.
- Source eligible — the document came from an official issuer or government source.
- Source matched — the value can be reproduced mechanically from the cited page.
- Rule checked — accounting, scale, currency, period and cross-history checks passed.
- Reviewed — an exception was resolved with a recorded reason and reviewer.
